For TENS me and Sammy have been working on The question 'What is Love?' we have had about 30 responses and we have already chosen 4 monologues we shall be using in our piece.
Over the next month I will be posting the responses we have gathered up to give you an idea of what we shall be using.

The Difference between Tv/Film and Stage performance.
We talked about the difference of TV and Film acting in comparison to stage acting we decided that when you act on film it needs less movement, less expression and that you need to act with your eyes, so your feeling, imagination etc comes out through them.
With TV acting it's more focusing on who is in the scene and not what is happening in the background.
When on the stage you have to project your voice to the back of the auditorium, but when you are on camera you don't need to project as the camera microphone should pick you up without a problem.

Last week was the week of our show, on Monday and Tuesday we had technical rehearsals, time to fully remember our lines and cue's it was looking quite dismal from an actors point of view as the whole cast was all over the place, not coming in on time, not knowing where to stand such things which was said should have been the stage we were at 2weeks previous.
I was really nervous but by the Wednesday the day of the show I felt the Dress rehearsal was really good we had energy we knew our cue's and everything was spot on. the only part which let us all down was the Brecht poem. In which the music seemed out of time and the cast seemed to be plodding along casually.
On the night of the show, backstage the vibe was up beat and cheerful which helped a lot, as this was happening I feel it had a huge effect on the cast which went on stage we had a ease of performing and everything seemed to go smoothly.
